The Story of Easter: Its Practical Application

Every sacred story must always be interpreted in ONLY two ways: cosmic (Astrology) and anatomic – macrocosm and microcosm. The real name of the feast we are celebrating is called Passover. But this Easter story is also very spiritually meaningful. As the mythological story goes, a beautiful virgin lived in ancient Babylon. She gave birth to a beautiful Son (Virgo given birth to the SUN child) whose name was Tamuz (Sun). Tamuz, in his journey, reached the underworld and needed help to come up again. That is, to gain new life. To do this, his mother’s sister, Isthar (Easter), came to the rescue. Isthar is the Spirit. Sister esoterically always represents the Spirit. In the biblical story, when the patriarch Abraham reached Egypt (Lower Mind), he tricked the King into thinking that his wife (emotional nature) was his sister – beautiful!!!

Isthar helped to resurrect Tamuz, and he came forth in a coloured egg in the month of April. Every year, when the Sun reaches Aries, there is new life in nature. All trees have new leaves. Nature blooms! Creatures of all kinds mate and give birth to new ones (chicks, bunnies, and rabbits). All things become new again. The traditions of Lent and sunrise service are all derived from this beautiful story (see the book of Ezekiel). The Sun Aries is the great cosmic sacrifice. Again, the biblical story of Abraham has a cosmic import, for we are told that when he was about to sacrifice his only son, an Angel of the Lord told him to look into the bush. What did he see? A Ram with horns in the ticket – Aries! The key word for all the fire signs is love. Aries is love that is truly sacrificial. The sun does this in the sky every year.

Anatomically, the Sun’s energy (Christ) descends through the 7 spiritual centres and reaches the lowest. Here, we are operating with the carnal mind(earth) while we are still on this planet Earth. This is the only place God has given us. And as the Sun Astrologically represents rebirth, we too must come to this earth many times and be pilgrims, and wander in our carnal minds until the Spirit (Oil) ascends again through the 7 Spiritual centres and reaches the head (Aries). Then, new birth and new life come to our lives. Heaven is a state of Consciousness, and

we attain this state while we are here on this planet Earth. To achieve this state, we need to sacrifice ourselves to serve and help humanity.

This should not be just lip service. We must sacrifice everything, even life itself, if need be, to help all God's creations with unconditional love. We must help humanity until our very life blood ebbs away.

The only way by which the Spirit can rise to the head is by doing earnestly the 7 Spiritual exercises, more importantly, Meditation, Concentration and Retrospection. We may intellectualise these great Teachings, but unless we diligently do the exercises, live the life and experience the Teachings WITHIN our very nature, it will avail us nothing. We will prolong the number of our incarnations. This is a gigantic task and the only means of attainment.

The exercises are food and medicines. This was why the master Christ Jesus made these two important occult statements.

1. “I have meat to eat which you know not of”.

2. “They will say of me this proverb, physician heal thyself”.

We would hence encourage all centres to devise means to help groups or individuals to do meditation exercises in darkness. Many bible passages say God /Light dwell in darkness.

A few of these passages are: 2 Samuel 22:10-12, 2 Kings 8:12, Psalm 18:11, Isaiah 45:3, Amos 5:18 and 20, 2Corrinthians 4:6. If we want to see God face to face as did the patriarch Jacob, then we must meditate in darkness.

We will also humbly advise that all centres encourage students to do the spiritual Astrology course. We should make it easy and user-friendly to study the subject. Preferably, after completing the Philosophy course, they should be encouraged to do the Bible and Astrology in tandem because the stories of the bible were copied

directly from the SKY. All new students who lead pure lives and have good intentions should not fear Astrology.

The Master has said, “The Kingdom of God (Zodiac) is WITHIN you”. To us, it is given to know the mystery of our ourselves (Anatomy). Then, in one life, if we try harder, the veil/curtain in our body Temple (HEAD) will be torn, and we can look into the Holy of Holies and become citizens of the Invisible Worlds. We get wisdom, enlightenment and, crucially, understanding. We can then joyfully utter the same triumphant cry: “Consumatum Est”. “It is accomplished.”
